Last night's Pinewood Derby was a huge success for Ian! He won a trophy for having the fastest car in the den, and went on to place second overall in the pack.

Ian's first Pinewood Derby with the Cub Scouts is coming up. Here's the slick wedge racer he came up with that we've been building over the past week or so. Starting from the point where we had cut it and sanded it into the basic wedge, we've painted it (Chevrolet Huggar Orange, Ian's emphatic selection), sanded the wheels, figured out the ideal weight placement, and weighed in at exactly 5 ounces - the maximum allowed. Check back for race results this weekend!
